Community Fitness Leaders Training (CFLT)

Community Fitness Leaders Training (CFLT) is a 15 hours course especially designed
and tailor-made for this program. This program is jointly with the Ministry of Health to
support and provide technical assistance in installation of 10 Outdoor Gyms within Atolls.
The main purpose of the program is to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to be
effective Fitness Instructors. Through a participatory approach participant will acquire
knowledge, attitude and practical skills that will help them to become effective CFL. The
content has been
developed by subject specialists using their own knowledge to
illuminate research into similar courses being run elsewhere.


Objectives.
1. The purpose of this program is to provide opportunities for participants to develop
the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to be effective community level Fitness
Instructors.
2. Demonstrate the ability to develop, select, and use various strategies available in
promoting healthy fitness lifestyles among the community.
