Maldives Sports Corporation and Housing development Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to work jointly to develop sports sector of Maldives. The MoU was signed by the Managing Director of Maldives Sports Corporation, Mauroof Ahmed and the Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation, Suhail Ahmed.

The aim of the MoU is to develop and utilize HDC’s land for sports related infrastructure, conducting studies to assess the current demand for different discipline of sports and developing strategies to cater for the current and future usage of sports facilities. Research conducted out by corporations to be communicated with each other under the MoU to create more opportunities and programes for the development of sports in Maldives.

The MoU has a set length of 3 years from the date of signing.
